We ask parents to complete a short survey and tell us about the impact Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library is having on their family. This allows us to highlight the importance of our program, and encourage other families to sign up their children! Last month we received this wonderful response from Thomas Kale, a dad in Lonoke County.
1. What has your child gained from participating in the Imagination Library?
Participating in the Imagination Library has been an incredible journey for our family. Each month, my child eagerly awaits the arrival of a new book, and the joy on their face when they open the mailbox is priceless. These books have become cherished treasures, sparking bedtime routines filled with shared stories and laughter.
Through the program, my child has developed a genuine love for reading. They now recognize letters and words with ease, and their vocabulary has grown significantly. The colorful illustrations and engaging stories have fueled their imagination, inspiring them to create their own tales and scenarios during playtime.

My favorite part of receiving the books has been the joy and anticipation it brings to our home. I love how the stories spark conversations and create opportunities for us to connect and explore new ideas together. Watching my child’s excitement and growth has been truly rewarding.
